DAILY MASTERCLASSES:

Jazz artists from across Europe and the US will be selected for daily masterclasses.

VIDEO AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Jam Music Lab Summer Workshop is open to participants who possess intermediate to advanced improvisation skills. Video auditions music include two contrasting jazz standards with a play along backing track or at least one live accompanist.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: MAY 15th, 2024

WORKSHOP COSTS:

Application Fee: $50
Course Tuition: $2500.00 US
Housing and Meal Plan: $1.100
Hotel for under 18 participants: JAM can supply a list of local hotels.
Airfare: Estimated between $1000 - $1500 round trip.
Airport transfer to Vienna: must be organized by participants.

HOUSING:

University dormitories are available for participants 18 years and older. Participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent and stay at a nearby hotel.

Study Jazz in Vienna and follow the footsteps of the world’s greatest musicians. JAM MUSIC LAB is a pioneering music university in Vienna holistically focused on all styles in Jazz and Popular Music. The JAM Music Lab Summer Jazz Workshop offers daily faculty-led small group ensembles and cutting-edge masterclasses tailored to the needs of intermediate to advanced jazz musicians. Additionally, participants will attend morning jazz history and theory classes, perform at evening events and participate in recording sessions at the end of each weeks.
